Installation and Trimming Instructions

This door range has edge bands already affixed to the door. However, if there is a need for on-site trimming (maximum trimming allowance 3mm), please follow the guidance below:

• Reapply the edge banding supplied loose within the packaging of the door by applying a good quality impact glue and maintaining a constant pressure on the edge band until it has fully adhered to the long edges of the door.
• The edge band will have better adherence if the edges are square and flat after trimming.

If the preference is not to reapply the spare edge banding supplied, the alternative is to simply paint the long edge using a good quality paint to the nearest RAL colour to match the face of the door. It is recommended that you apply masking tape to the face edge of the door before painting the edges to avoid overspill to the face of the door. A minimum of 2 coats should be applied to give full protection to the exposed timber lipping.
