Installation Details
This door system allows the door to slide straight into a discreet pocket hidden within the cavity. The pocket frame is constructed from galvanised steel and is supplied complete with the track and fixings. The cassette system comes with a comprehensive timber lining kit (jambs) to finish the installation perfectly.
The door jambs are available in two size options: 100mm or 125mm. For 3" studwork, the 100mm jambs are recommended to achieve a finished wall thickness of 100mm when finished with 12.5mm plasterboard. For 4" studwork, the 125mm jambs are required to achieve an overall wall thickness of 125mm when using 125mm plasterboard.
This pocket door system does not require a bottom track or threshold strip, as the single pocket door frame is top-hung from a track. The runners are attached to the top of the door via a bracket, allowing the flooring to continue through the opening undisturbed. Accessories such as soft door closers, flush door pulls, and bathroom locks can be purchased separately.
