Installation and Maintenance

This door range has edge bands already affixed. However, if there is a need for on-site trimming (maximum trimming allowance 3mm), please note the following guidance:

• Reapply the edge banding supplied loose within the packaging by using good quality impact glue.
• Maintain constant pressure on the edge band until it has fully adhered to the long edges of the door.
• The edge band will have better adherence if the edges are square and flat after trimming.

If you prefer not to reapply the spare edge banding supplied, you can paint the long edge using a good quality paint to the nearest RAL color to match the face of the door. It is recommended to apply masking tape to the face edge of the door before painting the edges to avoid overspill to the face of the door. A minimum of 2 coats should be applied for full protection to the exposed timber lipping.
